Do you often hear all the excuses like: “This is impossible, because…” Well that’s why we have this club at our school. Because we believe that everything is possible, if you really want it. Do you want to travel around the Czech Republic or go on an expedition to far away countries? No problem, we can help you. But don’t let our name mislead you. We are not focused just on travelling. Interested? Than keep reading…

The club was founded by Mr. Kolář and it provides many opportunities to all students. We make trips and expeditions all around the Czech Republic, but also to other countries. We also provide rental services for outdoor equipment and we have eight subsections: travelling, theatre, music, climbing, board games, debates, cinematography and DofE. Students can develop their ideas through the club in all of these disciplines.

As already mentioned, the travelling subsection is focused on travelling by foot, canoe, cars, bikes and whatever else will come to your mind. We make trips very often, usually to Prague or Šumava and our expeditions, usually taking place during the holidays, are situated somewhere further away – Wales, Armenia… When you sign up with the club, you’ll obtain an ASK card, which will provide you the same benefits as the EYCA card.

Our theatre subsection provides a cultural program for young people. Students can attend theatres and see many different plays with a decent discount. People in these times often forget about culture like galleries, museums and theatres, but some of them still love theatres and that’s why we have our “Young Viewer’s Club”, which organizes regular theatre visits.

Our new subsection is DofE – The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. It aims to create a world where young people can reach their full potential whatever their circumstances. Its ethos is to enable every young person of every background to do their DofE and succeed, regardless of any barriers. It consists of a balanced programme of activities that develop the whole person – mind, body and soul – in an environment of social interaction and teamwork. Young people progress through three levels of DofE programmes to achieve a Bronze, Silver or Gold Award.
