In the days from 28. 9. to 5. 10. 2015 we visited Belgium and southern England. On Monday 28. 9. we left at 19:30 and we drove over the night and on Tuesday morning we arrived in Brussels. We saw for example: Royal Palace, beautiful historic town hall, the Peeing man, European Parliament or Atomium and then we moved to Bruges. There we walked through the town, tasted Belgian pralines, waffles and chips. We spent the night in a hostel in Bruges. Next day on Wednesday we went to Calais and on a ferry we sailed to Dover to England, then we went to Leeds Castle and in the evening we met our host families. On Thursday we were all day in London. On Friday we saw Windsor Castle and the city of Oxford. We were very disappointed, because Windsor Castle was closed. On Saturday we saw amazing, beautiful white chalk cliffs of Dover and we walked on them. In the afternoon we visited the Sea World (aquarium) in Brighton. Last day we were again in London and in the evening we said goodbye to both the city and all England. A very long journey home waited for us, but we looked forward to our homes, because the food in London is horrible, they always eat chips, sandwiches, hamburgers, pizza… All the week we had sunny and warm weather. I think, it was a very nice trip and I hope, that I sometimes visit Great Britain again.

A trip to England? At first you have to find something you will eat during your visit. Or you just have to accept that all the dishes will be served with fried chips. In the better case. Or worse, you´ll have everything fried.

You should go to England with your friends. Or at least with somebody who will talk with you. Because most of the host families do not want to discuss your day with you. Their pets do! The problem is that, even in England, pets don´t speak in an intelligible form.

To be honest none of these problems bothered me on our school trip to England. I had my, sometimes too much, talkative school mates, lots of sweets from my home, I finally saw famous sights like The Tower of London, Tower Bridge or London Eye. The weather was wonderful! Who would mind having fat dinners (four pieces of pizza and chips were a bit of a surprise for me) or the fact  the that longest talk with our host family we had took about 5 minutes, after being amazed of all the beauties of this country?
