In the days from 14th–20th February 2016 we took part in a ski course in Krkonoše. We left Pilsen on Sunday morning and arrived to Rokytnice nad Jizerou at lunch time. The hotel is located on the square opposite to TESCO, so we always had enough drinks and snacks. The hotel rooms weren’t like in a five star hotel but they were cosy and clean.
First day all the students were divided into groups according to their skills; except for our team, advanced snowboarders. We went for a walk in the woods with our leader, Mrs Babčaníková.
Each day began with a really tasty breakfast. Although we are finicky eaters there was a lot to choose from. Usually half teams went skiing or snowboarding and the other half went cross-country skiing, after lunch we swapped.
After the dinner there were activities prepared by teachers so there was no time to get bored. The curfew was at 10p.m. so we had enough time to visit our friends and chat with them.
Thursday was more special because we had a full day cross – country skiing trip. We were divided into different groups according to our skills. It was really funny when everyone was falling. During the trip we felt like in a fairy tale, we have never experienced anything like that before. The frozen nature in Lysá Hora and on the top cross-country track was absolutely awesome! It was worth it.
On Friday afternoon we had disco in Škodalend, it was crazy no one will forget Mr. Kolář’s dance performance. Last day we had to pack our bags, say goodbye to the hotel and come back home. The most of students (including us) would stay longer if we could. We really enjoyed it. We hope that we will participate in other similar trips.
