On Friday 20th March 2015, our class and several others went around the corner from school to Masaryk Square to get a better view of the solar eclipse. In order to protect our eyes and get a better view of this astronomical phenomenon, we used special glasses that seemed to be made of aluminium foil and rolls of film. We waited with great anticipation for 10:43 to come, when the sun was three-quarters obscured. Having witnessed this extraordinary experience, we returned to school to our maths class with a new sense of purpose.
