Last week we departed from our school to face a new big adventure, the skiing course! During the time we have already spent on Masaryk´s grammar school, the skiing course was something mysterious, that we all were curious about. I can´t exactly remember what we expected the skiing course to be like, but in the end it was something totally unspeakable.

We went to Pec pod Sněžkou a small town located in Giant Mountains. Our hotel was a hut called Lyžařská bouda. It is on a top of a mountain, so the only way to get there was a 5 km long walk in snow up the hill. The place is supposed to be romantic and charming, however I didn’t have the feeling. There wasn’t any beautiful winter surrounding as our teachers promised. To be honest there was barely any natural snow and the weather was pretty warm, which affected our skiing conditions a lot.

Although we haven´t experienced the best skiing time of our lives, we had a lot of fun. We played many interesting games, we had a discotheque and the teachers were really kind, helpful and they didn´t push us over the limits, because they saw we were exhausted.

I loved the skiing course and I can´t wait for another experience.
