Already in the early morning (22nd January 2023) we as students of the second (7th class) Masaryk Grammar School were waiting with anticipation for the arrival of our train towards Špičák where the course was held. The journey was quite quiet as the students were still getting up, but somewhere it was already cheerful. The skiing could begin.

Our teachers showed us around Špičák with a two-hour walk, but we were already excited for lunch so we didn't pay much attention. Later that day we were divided into ski teams and had our first accident. But our nurse came right away to help and everything was fine. In the evening, we just lay down and went straight to sleep. The next days we always were skiing in teams and learned (or just improved) our skiing skills not only in downhill skiing but also in cross-country skiing. We usually liked cross-country skiing better because we laughed a lot. Even our hiking trip was beneficial because we learned interesting things about Železná Ruda because of our combat mission. The teachers divided us into evening teams and prepared some sort of competition for each evening for which we were always placed. Definitely one of my favourites was the accident simulation by our nurse because we learned something new and had fun. But it was also a disco that we prepared and finished by ourselves (This surprised our teachers).  Our course was coming to an end and we just had to pack our bags and skis and make our way home. (27th January 2023)

Overall, I rate the course very positively. I would have liked to have been there a week (or maybe two) longer. The teachers were great and I had a great time with my classmates. The ski course for second year (7th class) students at Masaryk Grammar School is definitely worthwhile.
