On 25 April 2023 my class and two teachers of ours visited the water treatment plant situated in Pilsen. First of all, we met the guide who kindly showed us the whole facility. After all of us gathered, we visited the buildings where water is cleaned by different machines and chemical mixtures.
At the beginning of the whole process water is passed through the sieves to get rid of impurities and to be filtered. Then there are many steps to get the bacteria and other unpleasant components out of the water, such us cleaning it by means of chlorine, UV light, ozone or activated carbon.
After being acquainted with the process of how water is cleaned, we went to see the fish hatchery which is also located within the facility, where we could pet many types of fish, for example sturgeons. In short, it was a very nice day and I am glad that I could visit a place like this.
