Yesterday, we had a really nice meeting in our school. It was the opening ceremony for the exhibition about comics called “Akce Kámen”, which is a book about the situation, mostly in Šumava Mountains, but also between the Czech Republic and Germany after the World War II. “False crossing of boarders was happening, and communist regime was misleading people who though they were already in Germany, but they were still in our country “talking” to false western police and agents. The plot was played on emigrants so they revealed other people working against the regime so these were caught and imprisoned. Everything was happening in fifties of 20th century.

Everything started at 10 o´clock and the presenter Mrs. Řeháčková invited some people to say something about the exhibition, for example what it is all about, what we shall know and much more. We met the woman, who has written the original comics book and also the man, who has painted all of the pictures. They were talking about the action, about the situation in 1950s and during their speech I fell really emotional and I was like stopped in time, I listened only to them and I didn´t focus on any other thing.

It was an amazing, emotional and also beautiful experience for me. My grandfather was an pilot for RAF in the World War II and after that, he was in prison for almost decades, because he didn´t respect the communism. I have never seen him, because he died before I was born, but I´m really proud of him.

The whole exhibition presents the pages of the book and will be available at our school for three months.
