Could you imagine creating friendships with strangers from another country and then staying by their place for 5 days? Amazingly, we had the pleasure to be a part of the student exchange program in Regensburg last week and it was an experience for life.

Undoubtedly, the teachers must have put a lot of effort into making the programme for us.  We got to visit a factory for snuff, Prunn Castle with a breath-taking view of the Danube, Weltenburg Abbey or a bobsled track, which was really fun albeit short.

A trip to Munich was planned for us where we got to see the historic center. In our free time we got to visit an exposition called “Flowers Forever” with floral art. There was a room with flowers projected onto the wall. The flowers had been made artificially to simulate growth and respond to movements in the room, thus the room was always unique.

Nonetheless, the biggest highlight would definitely be Walhalla. A beautiful memorial of famous people from Germany. To get there we had to take a ship across the Danube. The architecture was mesmerizing. It felt like being in Greece!

To sum up, the exchange was amazingly planned. It gave us not only unforgettable memories but also great friendships. If you ever get a chance, you should definitely participate in an exchange program!
