On 7th June two girls form sexta and some other students from second year went on a trip to Prague to participate a discussion competition in German language.  This event took place in the Music Museum, Karmelitáská Street.

On the way there we had a great stroll through a beautiful part of our capital. During this walk we learnt a lot of interesting and exciting info about the sights we were passing. We went through Wenceslaus Square, Old Town Square, we passed Palace Lucerna, Koruna and we even saw the House: U Černé Matky boží, which is a typical representative of Czech cubism. During the whole walk we could listen to a great comments of Mrs. Hrusková, which we really appreciated very much and which we can use during our maturita exams.

We finished our walk at shopping centre Palladium where we had a lunch break and then, finally, we went towards our discussion place. We were really impressed by the Music Museum. The interesting architecture was like a miracle for our souls and after a short refreshment break the competition started.

Even though we didn´t get everything, we could notice an excellent work of the participants. The final topic for the discussion was: Should Czech people be eligible to vote when they reach 16th year of their lives?” We didn´t lose our determination, not for a second. The whole discussion was finished with a great refreshment in the Swedish table style. So we could taste up to five different kinds of open sandwiches. They were very tasty. Over these full tables we were talking about this discussion and returning to school.

I don´t know how the others. I was excited. Not only was it a nice change of the routine, but also a great experience. We are very grateful to Miss Illiadis for accompanying us and to Mrs. Hrušková for her great guiding and that she made this trip possible for us. We are so much looking forward to the next event.
