A group of American students visited us on Monday, 13th March. They were mostly form Texas, I believe. But there was one man from Detroit. He has already been living here, in Tlučná, for two years.
It was an amazing experience. I find I really interesting that they were 18 years old. Two years older than us. But they didn´t look like being older then us and being much different. Maybe it´s because of age limits. Except for driving, in the USA they have to older for almost everything. Our lives are quite different. I learned that a lot of children of our age are home schooled in the USA. Each member of the family has at least one car, if not two. Not only in Texas, but in general, they have load of guns! Another interesting face is that women are similar here and there. It makes sense, but I wasn´t expecting it.
The activity itself was actually really simple and basic, but I liked it. Just a discussion. The students were really friendly and open for any type of questions. I hoped they enjoyed as much as I did and also that they learned something interesting about us and our lives. I would like to invite them next year, for sure.
