Last week we went on a trip to Vienna. We were there with our German teacher Mrs. Vyčítalová. Together with us went the class 2.A with their teacher Mr.Skočný. The trip was from 21st April 2016 to 23rd April 2016.

We departed on Thursday from school at 2PM. The journey took almost 5 hours but thanks to a really comfortable bus it wasn't so unpleasant. Our first stop was Mikulov, a little picturesque town. We arrived there at 7PM and we quickly went through all of the most interesting sights for example the Mikulov castle etc. Then we had gone to camp in Pasohlávky where we spent our first night.

On the second day we finally arrived in Vienna. We left the camp at 7:30. Fortunately the journey didn't last so long. We were going there for half an hour and then we were finally here. The first place we visited in Vienna was the UNO City – one of the OSN centres. We had to go through really strict entrance control. After visiting the UNO City, we went to Donauturm (Danube Tower). Donauturm is 150 meters high tower. There was a wonderful view overlooking the whole Vienna.

Being full of impressions we continued to explore the city. Here we had our first of many tours through the Vienna centre. We saw so many sights namely the Burghof, the Vienna Museums or Town Hall where we had an interesting visitation. We also visited the St. Stephan's Cathedral. After having such an exhausting tour we finally got a break for lunch. We definitely deserved it in spite of our tour guide thinking something else.
Then the most awaited part of the day came. Our visit of Prater. No matter how tired we were, every one of us came back to life again. We had an opportunity to visit a lot of amazing attractions. I think that we all went back to our child years.

Having tried the most various attraction we left the Prater at 7:30 PM. At 8 we were accommodated in hotel in Vienna. There we spent our second and last night.

In the morning we had a tasty breakfast and at 8:00 we were on the round again. Our first stop was the Schonbrunn Palace. Unfortunately we didn't visit the interior but we saw the beautiful gardens around the palace. We climbed up the hill and there we visited the Glorieta. From the top of the Glorieta we could see the whole Schonbrunn area.

Our next stop was again in the centre. Here we visited the Parliament building. As soon as we left the parliament building we went to the Capuchin Crypt. For many of us it was a frightening experience. Before leaving the Vienna we visited also the Hundertwasserhaus – the work of famous Austrian artist Friedrich Hundertwasser. Then we went on the road back home.

In conclusion I want to thank our teachers for having organized such an interesting and nice trip. It was an amazing experience.
