LET´S RETURN FOR A WHILE TO THE LAST SCHOOL YEAR AND REMEMBER THE TRIP TO SCOTLAND.
From 18th to 25th of June mix of the students from sextas and 2nd year enjoyed the trip to Scotland. 45 students and three teachers wanted definitely to confirm or disprove the existence of Nessie, famous Loch Ness Monster.
Day 1, Day 2
We set on the trip late at night heading to Naarden. Here we greeted our famous Jan Amos and we had a nice tour around picturesque city center. In the afternoon we boarded the ship to Newcastle and we excited about the night we were going to spend on our way to Newcastle.
Day 3
We left Newcastle to Scotland. We had a short stopover in Bamburgh Castle where we were walking in sand dunes on the shore. In the afternoon we already in Scotland visited the birth place of Marie Stuart – the palace Linlithgow. We also saw technical wonder Falkirk Wheels and amazing Kelpies. In the evening we finally arrived to Stirling. There we had our hotel.
Day 4
After the breakfast we had a great tour round the Stirling castle. We saw a battle field of The Battle of Bannockburn and had a nice tour in the area called The Trossachs, the landscape which inspired Sir Walter Scott. We visited Wallace Monument and the whole day was crowned by a lovely boat trip on the lake Loch Katrine.
Day 5
This was our longest day we spend in bus. We drove through the biggest Scottish moor Rannoch Moor and we arrived to a beautiful area called Glencoe. We saw Fort William and Ben Nevis to finally arrived to Urquhart Castle and Loch Ness. Unfortunately, Nessie was not at home.
Day 6
Early in the morning we set on the way home. We visited famous Rosslyn Chapel and spend half a day in Edinburgh where we saw the castle, royal mile or St. Giles cathedral.
Day 7
We arrived to London and we had half a day to browse through famous places like The Houses of Parliament, Westminster, Leicester Square, SoHo and on the boat, we passed The Tower and Tower Bridge. At eight, in the evening we said bye to London and via The Tunnel we arrived back to the Continent.
Day 8
In the afternoon full of great memories and experiences we finally arrived to Pilsen.
It was a great trip, full of fantastic places with beautiful nature and we will never forget it. We are looking forward to returning to Scotland and searching for Nessie, as she for sure exists.
