On Wednesday the 11th March a group of American students visited our school. As they do every year, they visited various classes in small groups, giving our students the opportunity to converse with them and a chance to test English.
During our brief conversations, we not only tried to get to know each other a little, but we were also discussing more interesting topics. For example, we learned a lot of interesting things about life and studying in Texas. And on the other hand we asked them about their feelings and experiences related to their visit to the Czech Republic or what differences between the Czech Republic and America they found most prominent. But we also touched on more global topics, such as politics or sport.
I think that in the end this meeting was a good improvement of our regular basic English classes. And many of us also appreciated, when we got an invitation to another informal meeting with their entire group. Because this evening event, with music and snacks, was another opportunity to learn more.
