Ambassadors of United Kingdom visited our school on 21st October. The students of oktavas and the fourth year had an opportunity to talk to Mr. Lukáš Jirousek, a business representative of embassy, with Mrs. Jana Walker, the leader of consular department and last but not least, students had the opportunity to talk to a representative of political department Mr. Robert Smith, everything in English of course.
Due to a dynamic program which started with Kahoot, we could not only improve our English but also get some extra knowledge about UK revise some things we have already known about the country. We also got some information how the embassy works and how is it to work there. The discussion started and proceeded with questions about the embassy and comments of nowadays political situation followed. There were many questions connected also with the role of the USA today and how or if the work of Mr. Smith changed after Brexit.
I believe that many of us, students, deeper and confirmed their decision to start their diplomatic career. Those who don´t see their future in political services also could realize how the situation abroad massively influences what is happening in our country.
